Mt. Baldy Dance Weekend

April 11 - 13, Friday - Sunday, 2008

The Mt. Baldy Dance Weekend, which is sponsored by The Living Tradition, is held at Harwood Lodge in the San Gabriel mountains.

Caller:   Brenda Goodwin  (from Utah)
Band:  The Rosin Sniffers Jim Mueller and Amber Roullard-Mueller (of Growling Old Geezers and For Old Times Sake), and Tom Wolverton (of The Fiddle Tunas)

Dance and music workshops may be scheduled on Saturday afternoon for those not doing outside activities.

Sunday afternoon and evening, campers are invited, as part of the camp package, to attend the sing-a-long, music jam, and dance at the 2nd Sunday Contra Dance in La Verne (4:00 - 7:00 PM)

Accommodations

The lodge facilities include a picturesque, large, 3-story rustic stone building with a wonderful wood dance floor, separate dining room, kitchen, men's and women's dormitories, two cozy fireplaces on the 2nd floor, gorgeous views, and relaxing porches. The elevation is 6300 feet.  

Event Application Form

If you want to attend, view and print the Dance Weekend application form.  Fill it in, and mail it with a check to the address on the form.  If you have a slow Internet connection, you need patience while the application file downloads.  Applications are being accepted on a first come, first served basis.
